PRIORITY SEATING

Parking and season tickets for men’s basketball have been sold out for several years in all areas of John Paul Jones Arena. Members may be added to a waiting list for tickets and parking for future seasons. The waitlist carries forward every year and those on the waiting list are helped based on availability in the arena and Priority Points. There are three areas of seating in John Paul Jones Arena.

Premium/Prime Seating Area: Seats in the lower bowl and in the first four rows of the upper deck are considered Premium Seating areas. Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) members with seats located in these areas must maintain an Annual Fund giving level that corresponds with the number of premium seats purchased. This giving level must be maintained annually and there can be no VAF or ticket office prior year balances. A drop in giving level may result in a seating relocation or ticket order cancellation. Most premium seats are tied to seat licenses which run through the 2026–27 men’s basketball season. Members interested in lower level seating should contact a member of the VAF staff for additional details (800.626.8723).

Priority Seating Area: Seats in the upper bowl of the John Paul Jones Arena, rows E–S, make up the Priority Seating area. Members with seats located in these areas must maintain an Annual Fund giving level that corresponds with the number of priority seats purchased. This giving level must be maintained annually and there can be no VAF or ticket office balances from prior years. A drop in giving level may result in a seating relocation or ticket order cancellation.

Non-Priority Area: Seats in the upper bowl of the John Paul Jones Arena, rows T and above, make up the Non-Priority area. All season ticket holders in this area have the right to renew their seats annually. Those who have been seated in this area based on priority are asked to maintain the giving level they established that allowed them to obtain season tickets. Should men’s basketball season tickets continue to sell out, VAF members will be given the first opportunity to purchase in all areas of the arena when inventory becomes available. Members ordering tickets, requesting additional tickets, or requesting a change in seat location will be assigned seats based on their overall Priority Points. All non-members will be assigned after all members.

PRIORITY PARKING

Season ticket holders may purchase one reserved season parking pass per ticket account based on availability. Members of the VAF are assigned parking based on their VAF Priority Points. All parking assignments are subject to availability. Existing donors must maintain their previous year’s giving level and have no Annual Fund pledge or ticket/parking balances in order to retain the same season VAF reserved parking location. Should requests for parking spaces exceed supply, members will be notified in a timely manner. Parking assignments will follow the same guidelines as seating.

Reserved season parking passes are required for all levels of the JPJ Garage, West Lot, East Lot, and South Lot. Additional non-reserved parking spaces are within walking distance of the arena.
