Men's Basketball
JPJ Seating Plan
The Virginia Men's Basketball Seating Plan is being implemented as the original John Paul Jones Arena (JPJ) seat licenses expire at the conclusion of the 2026-27 men's basketball season. This provides current supporters with the opportunity to renew their seat licenses while strengthening the long-term sustainability, fan experience, and competitive success of Virginia Men's Basketball and Virginia Athletics as a whole.
Agreements signed under the new seat licenses will go through the 2031-32 season.
Current seat license holders men's basketball season ticket members were provided the first opportunity to renew their seats under the new five-year seat license term. All existing will also have the opportunity to explore relocation options, subject to availability.
Following the renewal campaign process each year prior to an upcoming season, any remaining available seats will be offered to current and prospective supporters on the JPJ Interest List, creating opportunities for fans to continue and become part of the Virginia Basketball gameday experience.
Whether you're looking to renew your current seats, explore relocation opportunities, or become a season ticket member for the first time, the new seat-licenses provides a process that prioritizes existing supporters while welcoming new members of the Virginia Basketball family.

Premium/Prime Seating Area
Seats in the lower bowl and in the first four rows of the upper deck are considered Premium Seating areas. Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) members with seats located in these areas must maintain an Annual Fund giving level that corresponds with the number of premium seats purchased. This giving level must be maintained annually and there can be no VAF or ticket office prior year balances. A drop in giving level may result in a seating relocation or ticket order cancellation. Most premium seats are tied to seat licenses which run through the 2026-27 men's basketball season. Members interested in lower-level seating should contact a member of the VAF staff for additional details (434.982.5555).
Priority Seating Area
Seats in the upper bowl of the John Paul Jones Arena, rows E-S, make up the Priority Seating area. Members with seats located in these areas must maintain an Annual Fund giving level that corresponds with the number of priority seats purchased. This giving level must be maintained annually and there can be no VAF or ticket office balances from prior years. A drop in giving level may result in a seating relocation or ticket order cancellation.
Non-Priority Area
Seats located in Rows T and above in the upper level of John Paul Jones Arena make up the Non-Priority area. All season ticket members have the first right to renew their seats annually. Beginning with the 2022-23 season, a policy that required an annual "per seat" contribution for seats in the upper sideline ($50) and upper end zone ($25) sections was implemented. Accounts with preexisting Non-Priority seats that change locations and/or add seats within this area, as well as new accounts that acquire Non-Priority seats, must maintain the corresponding per seat donation annually.
Current season ticket members who renew their existing upper-level tickets will have the opportunity to view availability using the Online Selection Process in early August. Selection times are assigned in VAF Priority Point order. Fans interested in purchasing upper-level season tickets for the 2026-27 season may join the waitlist here. There is no cost to sign up. Ranking on the waitlist is based on VAF Priority Point order. The Ticket Office will contact those on the waitlist following the online selection process. All current-year Annual Fund members may request to purchase single-game VAF tickets by calling the VAF office at 434.982.5555. Ticket requests are assigned based on availability and VAF Priority Point total. They are allocated roughly two weeks prior to each home game.
Parking
Priority Parking
VAF members and season ticket holders may be eligible to purchase reserved season parking. All parking assignments are subject to availability. Members with an Annual Fund commitment of $1,750-$24,999 are eligible to purchase one reserved parking pass per ticket account. Members with an Annual Fund commitment of $25,000 or more are eligible to purchase two reserved parking passes per ticket account. Existing donors must maintain their previous year's giving level and have no Annual Fund pledge or ticket/parking balances in order to retain the same season VAF reserved parking location. Should requests for parking spaces exceed supply, members will be notified in a timely manner. Parking assignments will follow the same guidelines as seating. Reserved season parking passes are required for all levels of the JPJ Garage, West Lot, East Lot, and South Lot. Additional non-reserved parking spaces are within walking distance of the arena.
