YOUNG ALUMNI

The Virginia Athletics Foundation’s (VAF) Young Alumni Program allows recent graduates to directly impact Virginia Athletics through giving, while taking advantage of a dollar-for-dollar match. Simply put, the VAF matches giving credit for every Annual Fund dollar contributed by young alumni up to $5,000 annually. For example, with a $50 gift to the VAF, the VAF will “match” the gift dollar-for-dollar, giving benefits and Priority Points for a $100 gift.

Matching gifts are given for five years beginning with the graduation year. In 2023, graduation years eligible for the match are 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Benefits of joining the Young Alumni Program:

  • Priority Points that allow access to priority seating for football men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, and postseason competition

  • Invitations to socials, celebrations, and postseason events

  • Auto Decal

  • Subscription to Cavalier Corner for Sabre Club level ($100-349) and above

  • Satisfaction of providing support to deserving student-athletes

  • Roughly a 20 percent discount on season tickets for Virginia Football

The VAF matches giving credit for every dollar contributed by Young Alumni. The VAF will match up to $5,000 of a young alumnus’ contribution.

Timeline/Important Dates:

March 31 Payment deadline to receive VAF first quarter bonus Priority Points.
April 30 Pledge deadline and football season ticket request deadline.
June 30 Payment deadline to receive VAF second quarter bonus Priority Points.
TBD Fans requesting to purchase men’s basketball season tickets that did not hold season tickets during the previous season must complete the online ticket request form (VirginiaSports.com) or call the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at 800-542-UVA1 (8821). Following the renewal period, requests for new season tickets will be fulfilled and seated in VAF Priority Point order.
September 30 Payment deadline to receive VAF third quarter bonus Priority Points.
December 31 All current year pledges must be paid in full. Deadline for graduates to convert 20% of their Sabre Points into VAF Priority Points with a $50 gift.
