Account Guidelines

The Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) and the University of Virginia (UVA) Athletics Ticket Office use the following guidelines. These guidelines are for the use of the VAF, UVA Athletics Ticket Office, and do not create any rights or entitlements in others.

Account Information
The VAF encourages every supporter of Virginia Athletics to establish and contribute to their own individual account, enabling receipt of benefits associated with the account. The VAF and UVA Athletics Ticket Office reserve the right to change account names that do not comply.

The primary account name does not have to be used for donor recognition and/or mailing purposes. For example, an account could be in the name of “Mr. John Smith” while a donor plaque could reflect “The Smith Family” or a letter being addressed to “Dear John and Jill.”

The UVA Athletics Ticket Office reserves the right to cancel orders, void tickets, deny admission, and terminate season ticket accounts for violation of any policies without notice. Please refer to the Zero Tolerance Policy on virginiasports.com for more information.

The UVA Athletics Ticket Office and the VAF reserve the right to adjust any seats to eliminate any single seats and/or create adjacent seating options in an effort to effectively maximize seating opportunities for donors.

Children under the age of two do not need a ticket if sitting on an adult’s lap. All other patrons must have a ticket for entry into all ticketed Virginia Athletics events.

Donations are non-refundable.

Ticket refunds or exchanges will not be made unless an order is not fulfilled. Ticket refunds or exchanges will not be made due to a game time or date change. All sales are final.

Account Transfer Policies
An account, including the associated Priority Points, season tickets, and/or parking, may only be transferred one-time to a surviving spouse and only at the time of death of the primary account holder. A surviving spouse refers to an individual legally married to a donor at the time of the donor’s death.

An account, including the associated season tickets and/or parking, cannot be transferred by virtue of a will, trust, or other estate-planning document.

Priority Points associated with a planned gift commitment can be directed to a surviving family member who has a VAF Account for future priority point credit.

An account, including the associated Priority Points, parking, and season tickets can be transferred one-time if one is a member of the Wahoo Circle ($1M commitment payable over five years), Podium ($2.5M payable over five years), Icon ($5M in lifetime paid contributions), or Pinnacle ($10M in lifetime paid contributions).

In the event that a married couple, who jointly purchases season tickets, were to get divorced, couples have the opportunity to split season tickets and priority points into two separate accounts under each of the spouse’s names upon providing a court ordered divorce decree with details of the ticket and points split. If the allocation of the season tickets is not specifically addressed in a divorce decree, associated Priority Points, season tickets, and/or parking amassed during marriage will remain under the original account holder’s name. This is a one-time account split, which must be completed after the divorce is finalized prior to the following season’s ticket renewal deadline.
